There's still a lot of research to be done, which is why we are setting
up The Centre of Computer Game Addiction.

The aims of CCGA are:

1. Create an international network for those with an interest in these issues.

2. Initiate pilot studies and research with the goal to increase the understanding of computer gaming addiction and how the problem develops. Both on from an individual and societal point of view.

Now we are presenting our first pilot-study. We asked students about there Facebook and gaming habits.

Soon you can see the whole report but we could already give you some interesting information.

80 % say that they” sometimes or often”   spend more time at Facebook than they  have planned.

50 % are”sometimes or often” active at Facebook   during nighttime.

30% feel a pressure about having contacts with their friends on Facebook.

50% have “sometimes or often” been gaming during nighttime.

75 % have been gaming   more than they have planned.

60 %  know somebody who they think gaming to much

3. Create seminars, lectures, and implement some educational courses to further help people who are interested in this area understand the current situation. We are offering these to people such as teachers, parents, social workers and professionals working close to this area.

Everyone who is interested in these issues are welcome to contact us and we will soon be adding information regarding the seminars.
